The MIT Venture Capital Conference addresses the most important current issues in the venture capital industry. For 12 years, the conference has attracted leading investors and entrepreneurs to participate in discussions at the core of venture investing and company building.
Against the background of a quickly changing economic environment, the 2009 conference will illuminate the critical trends and opportunities available in this “Brave New World.” How have dramatic shifts in the political and financial worlds changed the venture capital and entrepreneurial landscape? If this is the time to start or fund a venture, where are the best opportunities in healthcare, energy, digital media, internet and mobile? How are venture capital funds adapting given the challenges in exit markets and LP relationships? Can the VC model work in emerging and social markets?
If you would like to be a part of this discussion, please join us on Friday, December 4th, 2009 at the Westin Copley Place Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

Closing Cocktail Reception Sponsored by Hubspot
Open House and After-Party by Cambridge Innovation Center
COCKTAILS – If you go home after the closing keynote address, you will be missing one of the best opportunities of the conference to connect with the local MIT entrepreneurial scene. Buses will be standing by to transport conference attendees to the Closing Cocktail Reception at 4:30PM hosted by Hubspot across the river at its offices at Cambridge Innovation Center.
OPEN HOUSE – The entire of Cambridge Innovation Center will be opened up to Conference attendees. You are encouraged to come to the Hubspot party, relax in an informal social environment, mingle, and then explore the rest of the Center. A map will be provided with the location of all the startups there and entrepreneurs will be there to talk with you about what they are doing. Cambridge Innovation Center has more startup companies under one roof than any other building in the world–220 and counting, and it does this kind of open house only once every five years.
AFTER PARTY – At 7PM that night, Cambridge Innovation Center will hold its 10th Anniversary party, which will be a dance party with live entertainment. Cambridge Innovation Center is extending an invitation to this party to all attendees of the MIT Venture Capital Conference.
