If you’re among the have nots, now’s the time to face the fear, find the time, and master the learning curve, which isn’t as steep as some SMBs believe. “The world of marketing has changed forever,” said John Jantsch, who wrote “Duct Tape Marketing: The World’s Most Practical Small Business Marketing Guide,” during an engaging forum I attended about how social networking is evolving the way small businesses get their messages across. The panelists — who also included Visa’s Alex Craddock, Facebook’s Adam Conner, and Google’s Peter Greenberger — offered tips galore in terms of how to reign in and play nicely with that big, hairy beast, not only from a strategic standpoint, but also citing which tech tools can help you maximize your efficiency and get the most out of the medium.
